What I Don't Like About My Epson R3000
Don’t get me wrong: I really like my Epson R3000. The printer is capable of making high quality prints, but it has a nasty habit. Once in a while it spoils a lot of expensive ink.
Tecco Baryt Ivory Fine Art Paper
I discovered a new fine art paper. I usually print my black and white images on Ilford Gold Fibre Silk, but sometimes I feel the need to try something new. I dug into my sample packs and found two sheets of Tecco Baryt Ivory 290 gsm. After two test prints I was pleasantly surprised.
Neutral Black & White Prints
In 2012 I switched from a Canon Pro 9500 to an Epson R3000 printer. The main reason was an extra gray ink and Epson's Advanced Black & White mode. The switch proved to be a good choice as the Epson R3000 creates neutral, high quality black & white prints. A neutral black & white print contains gray tones without any colour casts. Neutral is also a matter of personal taste. So when is neutral really neutral?
